Overview:
This instrument is a modular system comprising multiple components. It is a new type of testing equipment capable of conducting tests on both the mechanical properties of rock and those of soil. The rock direct shear tester was developed in accordance with the national industry standard (SLT264-2020) “Code for Rock Testing in Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering” and the “Code for Rock Testing in Highway Engineering” (JTG E41-2005). “Specifications for Rock Testing in Highway Engineering.” The instrument employs the push-through method and is primarily suitable for direct shear testing of rock blocks, structural surfaces (such as joint surfaces, bedding planes, foliation surfaces, and fracture surfaces), and the interface between concrete (or mortar) and rock (bonded surfaces), as well as for testing the shear strength of interfaces between concrete and other materials or the shear strength of monolithic structures.
