Overview

This instrument was developed in accordance with the T0709 standard for Marshall stability testing of asphalt mixtures in the “Test Procedures for Highway Engineering and Asphalt Mixtures” (JTG E20-2011) issued by the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China. It is suitable for Marshall stability testing and water-immersed Marshall stability testing, and is used for mix design of asphalt mixtures or quality inspection of asphalt pavement construction. This method is applicable to standard Marshall test specimens (Φ101.6 mm × 63.5 mm) and large Marshall test specimens (Φ152.4 mm × 95.3 mm) formed in accordance with T0702 of JTG E20-2011 “Test Procedures for Highway Engineering and Asphalt Mixtures.”
